Pinterest recommends a 2:3 portrait ratio for pins, roughly 1000 × 1500 pixels. Portrait pins take up more space in the grid and therefore get noticed more often than square ones.

Very long pins (around 1000 × 2100) are shown truncated in the feed. They can work if the content sits at the top — but 2:3 is the safer choice.
